Farm Orders Packed for YOU!

Due to the need to close the self-serve shopping aspect of our farmstand
during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to best protect both our farm staff & customers and have the best assurance of a stable, safe food supply from our farm, we switched to a pre-order/Pack-Your-Order system a few weeks ago to get you our local, farm fresh food.

We look forward to when we can welcome you back INTO the farmstand. Until then we’ll pack farm goodness for you.

For the past 11 years, our price structure has been based upon folks self-serving/self-packing at our farmstand and we are adjusting to this sudden need to receive and pack all orders and given it looks like that will be necessary for at least a few months or more, we are seeking to both streamline the process for all involved and address the additional costs of this new structure.

For current members and orders packed for pick-up in Northfield (downtown or at the farm), we are asking for a $5 pack fee per order. We know that it costs us more than that but feel that given the current tough world situation we are just asking to share some of the costs with our customers.

For Montpelier customers both members and retail shopper orders, we will offer home delivery of your order for $15.  We believe home delivery in Montpelier better suits our capacity and facilities and may make the deliveries to Montpelier from the farm a bit more efficient than a meeting spot pick-up.

New Pack/delivery Fees
$5 per order for orders picked up on farm or in Northfield
$15 per order for home delivery in Montpelier

Pack and Delivery Schedule

Tuesdays:
Pick up downtown Northfield 4:30-5 pm

Order forms can be found on the “Farm Order Forms” page on our website

Limits on some storage items in April for retail shoppers & new Members We recently limited a few storage vegetables to existing members as our storage veg production in 2019 did not anticipate a major surge in March 2020. To keep our commitments to existing members, those storage vegetables won’t be available to retail shoppers or new members in April.

On Farm Protocols

For those interested in the changes we are making on farm to keep a steady, safe supply of local, regeneratively grown food during the COVID-19 pandemic, feel free to browse our goals and actions piece. We continue to revise and add to it as more is learned about this disease and its transmission.

Overall, the position of the farm and our staff is to be on the uber careful side of things, recognizing that many of our customers are immunocompromised and that we are committed to keeping our production as steady as possible as we start the busiest part of the growing season to be able to assure you all fresh, tasty, nutritious food.
