Food & Music at the Watershed Divide – July 18th

pond-cattailsThe Friends of Winooski River and the Northfield Conservation Commission invite you to come out to Green Mountain Girls farm Thurs, July 18th 3:30-7:30 for Food, Music, demonstrations and tours.  Two Rain Barrels will be raffled to attendees.  Schedule includes:

Living on the Watershed Divide 3:45-4:45 
Mountain stream walk and stories led by Kati Osgood, literary ecologist who has explored these streams for more than 50 years! Walk will circle back to barnyard and end with an overview of farming at the top of the watershed, supporting well functioning natural systems.

Open Farm Stand and Farm Picnic 4:00 to 7:00 
On-farm store offers pasture-raised, sustainably managed pork, chicken, and goat meat, vegetables, eggs and raw goat milk for sale. Farm-fresh picnic & drinks available for purchase a la carte including Pasture Raised Chicken Salad, Gazpacho, Pesto, and Herbal Sun Tea!
