Here we go! Summer Farmers Market Season has arrived and with it the joys of sharing local food in community! We all know that farms produce more than food and Farmers Markets certainly are more than a place to buy local food! They are a community gathering spot, a place to meet new neighbors and catch up with old friends. A place to pause & enjoy. So join us starting this Tuesday on the Northfield Common for Northfield’s Summer Farmers Market. The market runs every Tuesday 3-6 pm until October 8th!
Markets are also a place to Learn! This summer we will be doing a demo, tasting and/or mini-workshop each month to give you new ideas and build your repetoire for cooking & enjoying what our local farms have to offer.

- Opening Day – May 14th: Grilled Leg of Lamb Tasting & Recipe ideas
- June 11th: 5th Quarter Ramen
- July 9th: Chicken cutting demo & hands on workshop. Learn (or improve your skills) at parting a whole, fresh chicken to tuck parts into your freezer for easy meals.
- August 6th: Dog Daze of Summer- Treats for the 4 leggeds throughout the market!
- September 17th: Night on the Common
- October 1st: Kraut Making workshop during the Market’s Octoberfest!
And of course Farmers Markets ARE for buying food!! And the Northfield market has 2 easy ways to do that! You can shop in person each week – Tuesdays 3-6 pm AND You can shop online from the comfy of home [DEADLINE is 10 pm SUNDAY each week] and pick up your order during Tuesday market hours 3-6 pm (or have it delivered!). AND you can do Both!!
We will be in person once a month at the market but have our meats, eggs, canned goods, veggies, herbs and more available EVERY WEEK at the online market!
