What Matters to You?

Hardy souls made it out to the Farm while snow continued to squall Friday evening. Our town road team did a spectacular job making way for those who could get here to enjoy Scrag Mountain Music’s Valentines concert “the Most Beautiful Waltz”. Mary and Evan again tapped New York based talents who wowed us. Already the farm supper and conversation had warmed us. Hearts were aglow!

The farm team traveled to UVM for some inspiration, camaraderie and learning over the weekend at the NOFA VT conference. It left us with so much to share with each other and you all! For starters Helen Whybrow co-led production of an excellent new short film with Vermont farmers. We hope you will tell us more about what matters to you about food and farming… And if you have a few minutes, enjoy watching Organic Matters

More stimulating short food and farming films will be shown the next few months on PBS. The California based team behind the rich web and film based “Lexicon ofSustainability” project was also at the conference. So much is packed into their short videos.

This few minute film sorting out the distinctions of pasturing chickens is particularly gratifying since these distinctions in our practices are central to us.

In upcoming weeks we’ll be reaching out to all of you with a survey to make sure we stay in touch with what matters most to you!
