At the Farmstand: Week of December 8th

This is probably the last week of abundant salad greens, with multiple kinds available. The hoophouse keeps it warmer, but doesn’t extend the days. There will still be fresh greens but the volume and variety will decline for a bit in these shortest days of winter. But the plants will be patiently waiting for longer days to return in the late winter. And there are PLENTY of leeks – do enjoy! This week at the farmstand you will find:

    I made a wonderful pasta dinner last night with your canned heirloom tomatoes and hot Italian pork sausage purchased at the Brookfield co-op holiday shop yesterday. I can’t wait until I visit the farm stand. I am happy to have discovered GMGF. 🙂

    We are so glad you enjoyed your farm fresh meal and we look forward to seeing you at the Farm. Thursday evenings from 4-7 the Farmstand is fully stocked and it is the best time to stop by. Once you are oriented to the farm, you can shop self-serve for many items at other points during the week.
