This is probably the last week of abundant salad greens, with multiple kinds available. The hoophouse keeps it warmer, but doesn’t extend the days. There will still be fresh greens but the volume and variety will decline for a bit in these shortest days of winter. But the plants will be patiently waiting for longer days to return in the late winter. And there are PLENTY of leeks – do enjoy! This week at the farmstand you will find:
